Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In El Cerrito, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Such an authentic and really good Korean food restaurant in El Cerrito. Recommend making a reservation for large parties and of any size. It gets busy here even on weeknights. We made a reservation for 4 at 6pm on a Thursday and when we were leaving so many people were waiting. They have their own private parking lot and there is also street parking. Not too far of a walk from El Cerrito bart too. You order through the kiosk and that’s how you ask for more items and refills for banchan. Their banchan is so fresh and good! They have Galbijim (braised shortribs) and we like to add cheese and watch it get torched. We also got their galbitang, bossam, seafood pancake, and I wanted to try their fried chicken (regular and soy garlic). The dishes come with either regular or purple rice, we got one set of each. Service was great! They serve hot tea and water, sodas, beer, and soju too. I can’t wait to come back and try their cold buckwheat noodles and other items on the menu we didn’t get a chance to order!

Wanted to celebrate my birthday especially after coming back from Korea. It’s a new restaurant that was recommended to me by my sister in law especially since they had their own parking lot which was a plus. We ordered: Galbijin (Short Rib) one with cheese, and no cheese, Jeon (pan cake) one with onion and other with seafood, 16 piece fried chicken,Japchae, and Rose spicy Rice cake. My favorite: Galbijiin and fried chicken. Love the rice cake but not the spicy part. For drinks: Soyu peach and kloud beer to create a beer bomb just like the dramas.:).. It was awesome tasting for me. I would definitely come back.

One of the best Korean Restaurant in town. I ate with my 2 friends, and we ordered the Rose Galbi Jim. I really liked the spices and the soup of the galbi, blended really well with the mozzarella cheese. Moreover, the texture of the tteokbokki was so soft and tasty. At the same time, the portion of the Galbi was so big, we couldn’t finish it so we took some back home. the other best part was that you could refill the banchan. Would recommend you to ask more for the tofu and kimchi, really mouthwatering. the waiter and waitress were kind and friendly, they served you fast. we visited the restaurant quite late in the afternoon, so we didn’t need to queue since there were plenty tables. the parking area was big too.

We loved the beef bulgobi, and the little side dishes (banchan) that come with the food. Everything was so fresh and yummy. The rice comes in a hot pot and it was crispy and smokey for the whole duration of the meal. You order the food through terminals on the table, so process is very easy and fast. Great experience and food! Plus everyone is very nice.

The food is really good! You order through a tablet on you're table. I forgot to take a picture of the bossam, but it was SO GOOD! The the tofu soup was so good too! The banchan was good and tasty. I would return and highly recommend! The food stayed very warm for a long time and that was perfect! Come check it out!
